Curve are very proud to have been appointed to provide interior design services as part of our long standing collaboration with Silver Spoon Students at their latest conversion in Nottingham.

Following on from the successful completion of the MOOG student accommodation back in the summer of 2019, the latest aquisition of the MAZE is an exciting project for all involved.

A once much loved music venue, the MAZE was home to many popular live nights and helped the rise to fame of some of Nottingham’s biggest stars in recent times such as Jake Bugg and Sleaford Mods. Sadly in June 2019 the MAZE closed it’s doors for good and the building was purchased by Silver Spoon, with a vision to provide some top quality apartments in this sought after area of the city.

We have been discovering more about the fascinating history of the previously named Forest Tavern. During Victorian times the public house was often frequented the world class prize fighter Bendingo who trained there before his fights. The landlord of the pub reportedly displayed Bendingo’s winning cups and belts in the pub. You can read more about this here

A Moment in Time – 1858

Nottingham is a great place to study, the City is vibrant and the location of the MAZE on this quirky stretch of Mansfield Road offers a fantastic place to live.

Curve have worked hard alongside the developers to bring the MAZE apartments the unique style they deserve, including preservation of the original frontage, and are currently looking at ways we can honour the iconic buidling’s colourful past as we complete the design process.

We look forward to bringing you some photos of the finished results in a few weeks time.
